Kids at St. Andrew

Children are an important part of our gatherings at St. Andrew.  All children are welcome to worship with us at St. Andrew By-The-Sea whether they live in our community or are visitors.  Here at SABTS, not only do our children get a sense of belonging, but they learn who and whose they are as God’s love is experienced through caring adults who want to share their faith with others. We encourage parents to set priorities for assuring the faith education of their children just as they would for math or reading.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY UPDATE
March 2023

Beginning Sunday, April 16 and throughout May 2023, our children will continue to learn important Bible stories and faith using our Celebrate Wonder curriculum during Children’s Church at the 11:15 service.

During the time between services (10:15-11:00) children will grow in their faith through various hands-on Mission and Service activities. Each week we will live out our faith through a new or on-going project.

Look for Miss Connie or one of our Parents-in-Charge in our Children’s Gathering Room to get involved and make a difference!

The Children’s Moment is a special part of our worship experience every Sunday. Children are invited to come to the chancel area during both worship services (September – May).  Worship packets are provided in the Narthex/Lobby for all children to use during the service to help them better understand worship by engaging them in fun puzzles, coloring, and other activities.

Celebrate Wonder at 10:15 am (Sunday School)

Celebrate Wonder is a Sunday school curriculum that engages children’s natural sense of curiosity to help them understand God’s love. A safe environment is created where kids (age 4 to Grade 5) can ask big questions—helping them explore the Bible in ways that feed their imagination and encourage creativity. Using carefully selected Bible stories, songs, videos, and hands-on activities, Celebrate Wonder gives children the tools to explore their faith while incorporating it into their daily lives.

Children’s Church (during 11:15 am worship service)

Children ages 4 through grade 5 will be dismissed following the Children’s Moment during the 11:15 Worship Service, they will be escorted to the Education Building to engage in activities that will help them learn how to live out their growing faith through Bible stories, crafts and games.

For the protection of our children, youth, and adults that work with them, St. Andrew follows Safe Sanctuaries guidelines. Click here for more information.

For the safety and protection of your children, we ask that parents sign in their child/ren for all children’s ministries in the foyer of the Education Building before proceeding to worship.
