Baptism

Baptism at Pope

Baptism at St. Andrew is celebrated by the entire church family, and celebrated as a part of worship in the community of faith.  The entire church has a role in every baptism as the members and family or sponsor(s) pledge together to help the person or child being baptized to grow in faith.

At St. Andrew, baptism is most often administered by putting a small amount of water on the head.

All ages may be baptized from newborn to the dying.  Those wishing to be baptized or have a child baptized are asked to meet with the pastor to assure their understanding of the meaning of the baptism and the commitment of raising a child in our church or another Christian church, and to arrange for a time during a worship service for the sacrament.
